Your cannons go down with fun effects and brutal efficiency. Besides, you may have something valuable under you. Drop down and you’ll find side caves with random upgrades, from increased health to increased firepower. If you’re familiar with the series, Monopoly’s aesthetic is pretty bare bones, but oddly enough, core elements of classic Hitman gameplay remain. You have to kill stealthily, so be strategic about who you kill first. Since the target is a randomly moving chess piece, the challenge is to plan an optimal path around the board to hit the target in one round. Going back to basics makes it incredibly fun and highlights just how much fun Hitman gameplay can be.
Riptide: GP Renegade
This is a game that should have been on PC. Riptide GP Renegade (on Steam) is a third-person jet ski racing game in a fantastical futuristic setting. The plot is less interesting than the gameplay, which is not surprising. When I first played racing arcade machines, I kept driving them around town and replaying them. The race involves running through water and doing tricks to score more points. Customize parts to enhance your car’s speed, agility and style. Given the game’s frequent twists and turns, the PC upgrade is a big improvement on the big screen. This game is already good on Android, but PC makes it even better. If you like racing games, then Riptide GP Renegade will not fall short.
Levelhead
If you’re looking for a fun, fast-paced puzzle platformer, Levelhead (Steam) is for you. Players are tasked with delivering packages as part of a test exercise for a robotic prototype designed for the interstellar mail service. The movement and combat mechanics are amazing and elegant as you explore a colorful alien world, bouncing over enemies in Mario style. The puzzle mechanic centers around your deck, weighing it down with switches and platforms, and even using them to attack enemies. I hope there is nothing clunky about it. The game also features an in-depth level generator and editor that allows players to post their levels and play with other players, as well as a tower mode that provides an even greater challenge.
ScourgeBringer
One of the many Metroidvania games on the Play Store, ScourgeBringer is a nice little title that combines the genre’s traditional exploration gameplay with a slasher-like twist. Players take on ScourgeBringer (Steam), a hero who investigates the interior of artifacts that have fallen to Earth. You will explore different biomes and Slash enemies. Combat uses aggressive and elegant sword combos while using fire fighters. The best of both worlds. The rogue-like elements are somewhat at odds with the Metroidvania level design, encouraging players to go all the way. Health is easily lost and rarely restored, preventing deep exploration. However, if Blasphemous comes up with wild gameplay, ScourgeBringer will scratch that same itch.
Out There: Omega
If you’ve played FTL: Faster than Light, Out: Omega (on Steam) will be very familiar. The gameplay, the end goal, and the tone are almost identical. You are lost in space and must travel across the galaxy to extract fuel and other resources to survive. Yes: Omega offers the stunning backdrop and beauty of deep space on various planets to explore. Out there: Omega’s defining mechanic is its role-playing aspect. Each race is random and events may unfold differently each time. The game is great for mobile because of its simplicity, but the PC port offers a more relaxing experience. For low-resolution resource management experiments and atmospheric judgment tests, Omega is a no-brainer.
Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact (Steam) is an awesome open world JRPG with gameplay from Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The story of Genshin Impact is again very important. The main character wakes up in the world and is tasked with rescuing the twins. But like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the main quest is helpless in the face of global turmoil. The game world, Teyvat, is vast and surprising, full of puzzles and collectibles that reward curiosity and exploration. Combat is a real-time system that focuses on switching between 4 characters, each with their own attack elements, against the pompous enemies. When used together, these items encourage experimentation as they can interact with each other. If you want to explore a beautiful and enchanting world, try Genshin Impact.
